Zambia Missionaries Visit Annual Conference

Tshala Mwenga and Betty Tshala were far from home when they visited the Northern Illinois Conference in 2012 representing the Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church in the Mujila Falls Project in Northwest Zambia, a country abundant with challenges and possibilities.

Conference Votes to Adopt “Strengthening the Black Church Comprehensive Plan”

Following a presentation from the Strengthening the Black Church for the 21st Century Design Team, the members of the Northern Illinois conference voted to adopt the SBC21 Comprehensive Plan at the 2012 Annual Conference.
