The Northern Illinois Conference has moved to a direct access procedure for background checks with our partner, Trusted Employees, to make them more timely and flexible for our churches.
*Note: When your church is completing the Safe Gatherings training, a background check is a part of that training. No additional background check is needed. Background checks through Trusted Employees is an option if you choose to do your own training.
Trusted Employees provides a comprehensive range of applicant screening and verification services that are scalable, customizable and can be integrated with applicant tracking systems.

Once a church decides to move forward with Trusted Employees, they will work with Donna Ploof, National Sales Director to set up the church's account. Donna will walk the church through setting up their account and through the process for setting up background checks.
