연합 감리교회를 위한 기도문
사랑과 자비의 하나님, 우리가 하나님의 임재하심을 미처 깨닫지 못하였을때에도, 그리고 우리가 아직 하나님께로 나아가기 전에도 먼저 우리를 하나님의 은혜로 감싸주시고, 우리와 영원토록 함께 하시겠다고 약속하신 하나님께 진심으로 감사를 드립니다.
오늘날 이 세상에 있는 하나님의 교회들이 하나님이 원하시는 참된 교회가 되기를 원하여 기도합니다. 연합 감리교회의 미래를 위한 하나님의 뜻과 비젼을 찾기에 헌신하는 The Commission on the Way Forward 와 The Council of Bishops 에게 하나님의 특별하신 축복이 함께 하시기를 기도합니다. 이때를 위하여 부름을 받은 그들과 함께하여 주시고 인도하여 주시기를 간절히 기도합니다. 교회를 향한 하나님의 비젼을 확신을 갖고 분명하게 볼수있도록 그들의 영적인 눈과 마음을 열어 주시옵소서.
우리로 하여금 주안에서 하나되게 하시어 하나님의 뜻을 이땅에 실현하는 주님의 신실한 제자가 되게 하시옵소서. 성령의 강한 힘으로 우리를 깨우쳐주시고 한마음이 되어 하나님의 놀라우신 일을 감당하게 하시옵소서. 주님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

God of love and mercy, whose grace embraces us all even when we are not aware of your presence and even before we come to you, we give you thanks for your promise that you will never leave us alone. We pray for your church on earth to become the church that you want us to be at such a time as this. We ask your special blessings upon the members of the Commission on the Way Forward and the Council of Bishops of the United Methodist Church as they are committed to seeking God’s vision on the future of the UMC. We humbly ask your presence and guidance on their journey of discernment. Open their eyes and hearts to see your vision for the church with clarity and confidence. Help us to be one in Christ and one with each other to accomplish God’s mission on earth as your faithful servants. May the power of the Holy Spirit illumine us and unite us for the amazing work of God in this world. This we pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
