Praying Our Way Forward - Day 2

Posted: December 4 2017 at 04:48 PM

Today's prayer comes from Rev. Miguel Nieves:

Amen.

I love the Lord because he has heard my prayer, he has heard me cry out for mercy.
Psalm 116: 1

Let's pray:
God of all peoples, we surrender to your presence to give you thanks.
We ask you courage, to speak for those who have no voice, and strength to fight for those who have no strength. Likewise, God of love and Grace, we ask you for the people called Methodist. In times of important decisions for our Church, we need your direction and guidance. God, direct the work of the Commission that will make the recommendations to move forward in the future, as well as the delegates and the Council of Bishops.
Remind us of our commitment to the world because the world is our parish. Establish your kingdom in the midst of oppressed peoples and those rejected by society, so that your lasting and imperishable peace reigns. Through Jesus Christ, the Lord, we ask you. Amen.
