"Our conference has been without a conference benefits and human resources officer since the death of our Woody Bedell," the previous conference benefits officer, almost three years ago, says Rev. Katherine Paisely, chair of the NIC Board of Pensions. "During these past few years, our insurance and health benefits programs have undergone a number of changes. Understanding our benefits has become increasingly difficult. With another series of changes anticipated in the next few years, providing someone to help us explain those changes and assist our clergy in making decisions to best provide for their needs has become urgent."
"It is for this reason that we decided to move towards filling this crucial role as soon as possible. The General Board of Finance and Administration is assisting us with our search process."
