Rev. Dennis M. Oglesby Jr., a member of the Northern Illinois Conference, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024. During his ministry he served Evanston: Sherman; and Dolton: Faith before transferring to Minnesota Conference in 2000. Upon returning from Minnesota in 2013 he served Harvey: First Wesley Academy; Harvey Transformation; and Evanston: Sherman.
Rev. Oglesby Jr. was 64 years old.
A memorial service will be held on June 28 at 1 p.m. at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 8441 S. St. Lawrence Ave., Chicago, IL 60619.
All clergy are invited to robe and wear red stoles for the service.
