On February 28th, CCUIR members, and conference leadership including Bishop Dan Schwerin, met with members of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC) to begin the discussion concerning the revival of our relationship including our commitment to our Document of Relationship signed in 2006.
Until 2020, dialogues, yearly dinner programs and action in areas of shared social justice issues were actualized. To enable our conversations and actions to begin on fruitful ground, we, United Methodist, are invited to join our friends at The Mecca Center’s annual Ramadan Muslim-Methodist Interfaith Dinner.
