Class Descriptions

  • Intentional Discipleship - led by Amania Drane
An Intentional Discipleship System (IDS) allows the local church to create a roadmap for growing in Christ that is unique and meaningful to their church, engaging with others to share successes, ask questions,  and obtain insights and resources on how your church can begin or enhance an IDS that works for your church.

  • In Search of Congregational Vitality - Our Baptismal Covenant and Response to God's Call - led by Rev. Jim Bell
The first half of the session will be based on the call of Saul on the road to Damascus and the second half will be based on Ezekiel 34 (shepherding nature of God and God's call on us to shepherd God's flock), putting into practice the connections of the first half.

  • Anti-Racism led by Rev. Jeremiah Thompson
Working alongside Pastor Toni Lucas and Rev. Mary Bohall, they will be emphasizing why this work is important for all of us regardless of demographics of our congregation or community.  They will also be facilitating a discussion on how privilege affects our lives in many ways and how the differences in privilege and power in society can cause harm to people in various ways.

  • Staff Parish/Pastor Parish Committee led by Rev. Arlene Christopherson
An informative meeting for those new to the committee and for those who are already on the committee.

  • Treasurer Training led by Jim McCune
Covering best practices and introduction to the role and duties of the treasurer.

  • Hospitality and Friendship led by Rev. Paul Lee
As emerging from the Pandemic, we are invited to navigate the unprecedented journey in our faith journey and ministry. Let's explore the theological and biblical meaning of hospitality and friendship as God's invitation and calling in our lives. We will resonate with what our ministry and mission would practically look like in the future.
