As we are living into the "new normal" that every congregation will continue online worship service even after reopening for in-person service, learn how to meet people where they are and go from a strong Sunday service presence to a  fully digital church experience with speaker Pastor Tony Arnold.

Speaker Bio:

Rev. Tony Arnold is a church planter in the Virginia Annual Conference of the UMC. Serving at Christ Church in Fairfax Station since 2017, he has launched an online campus and explored new forms of discipleship in that context. Among these has been a successful adaptation of the Alpha Course to an online format in 2018 that proved a resource for AlphaUSA to transition to a fully online experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to making disciples, he has a passion for hiking, sailing, writing, sharing stories, and spending time with his wife, Theresa.

Description of Webinar:

Many churches are discovering digital to be a viable and even compelling arena for vital ministry during an unprecedented and demanding season. But how do we meet people where they are and go from a strong Sunday service presence to a fully digital church experience?

To address this concern, this webinar will focus on three truths:

  • You need to know your pathway for moving people forward in their faith which requires a clear discipleship framework.
  • Creating systems of formation and ongoing support for small groups is a critical component of seeing your people connect and grow in their faith online.
  • Adapting and implementing programs like Alpha Online and platforms like the Church Online Platform and Facebook create hubs of fruitful interaction.

There is much we can learn from each other on this journey, so prepare for a time of discussion during our learning as we navigate this new season together.
