NIC Candidacy Summit

Location: Our Saviour’s UMC, Schaumburg 701 E Schaumburg Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60194

Jan. 10-11, 2020

The Summit is a 2-day event during which candidates for licensed and ordained ministry entering candidacy receive information about the candidacy process; begin meeting together in small groups with trained Mentors; and have an opportunity to worship, share their call stories, and take the required psychological exam, if they haven’t already done so.

10:30 am - Welcome
11:00 am -  Worship 
Noon-  Lunch
1:00 pm -  Psychological Assessments

Note: folks are welcome to leave Our Saviour’s when finished with psychological assessments.

Saturday, Jan 11  - 8:30 am- 2 pm

8:30 am  - Check-In  
9:00 am - Group Mentoring 1 
10:45 am - Overview of Ordination Process / Q&A  
Noon - Lunch
1:00 pm -  Group Mentoring Session 2 
2:30 pm -   Pack up & Go

Cost: $200 will be required from candidates prior to the summit to cover the required background check ($175) and a portion of the costs of the Summit. For those candidates who have previously completed their background check, the registration cost is reduced to $25.
