Before attending the event, it is recommended to watch the documentary The Bronze Screen directed and produced by Susan Racho, and Alberto Dominguez. The Bronze Screen: 100 Years of the Latino Image in Hollywood is a 2002 documentary on the 20th Century representation of Latinx in American motion pictures.

Zoom Option
For those unavailable to attend the event in-person, you’re still welcome to participate in the comfort of your home. The presentation and discussion will start at approximately 6:45 pm and will be live on Zoom. A breakout room for further discussion will be available for those participating online after the presenation.

Rudolph Reyes II
Presentor: Dr. Rudolph Reyes II
Dr. Rudolph Reyes II is Instructor of Christian Ethics and Latinx Studies at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston. Reyes specializes in social ethics, Latinx studies, and disability studies. He has served on the American Academy of Religion’s Religion and Disability Studies Unit steering committee and organizing team for the Intersectional Neurodiversity Reading Group London (UK). His most recent publication is “Beyond the Prophetic Temptation of Ecological Disgust” in Gonna Trouble the Waters: Ecojustice, Water, and Environmental Racism.
