  1. Basis Course: The Basic Course focuses on the three primary aspects of Lay Servant Ministry: Leading, Caring and Communicating. 
    Book: Basic Course-Lay Servant Ministries: Participant's Book by Sandy Zeigler Jackson & Brian Jackson
    Thom Bell is the Instructor for this course. He is a Certified Lay Servant and a member of Faith UMC, Dolton, IL.
  2. Living Our United Methodist Beliefs:This course will explore the special gifts of theology, witness, and organization that the United Methodist Church brings to the church universal.
    Book: Living  Our Beliefs: The United Methodist Way--Participant's Book by Kenneth L. Carder
    Vanessa Jones- Lyles, is the instructor for this course. She is a Certified Lay Servant and member of Hartzell Memorial UMC, Chicago, IL.
  3. Transforming Evangelism: In this course, you will discover that evangelism involves not only sharing our faith with others but also welcoming people into a community where they can grow in faith.
    Book: Transforming Evangelism: Participant's Book by Henry H. Knight III
    Lois Nemeth is the Instructor for this course. She is a Certified Lay Servant and a member of Olympia Fields First UMC, Olympia Fields, IL
  4. Transforming Community: This course teaches the Wesleyan way to form missional communities and congregations.
    Book: Transforming Community: Participant's Book by Henry H. Knight III
    Barbara Gbur is the Instructor for this course. She is a Certified Lay Servant and member of Hazel Crest Community UMC, Hazel Crest, ILL.
  5. Afire With God: This course helps participants to develop a holistic understanding of Stewardship.

    Robert Wood is the instructor for this course.  He is a Certified Lay Servant and a member of Lansing First UMC, Lansing, IL
